This is a good place to sing the praises of ETHEL’s director Ralph Farris for his sometimes wild, sometimes subtle, always amazing arrangements of A Moving Sound’s music for this album! In this piece he took the song into the stratosphere to capture the wild tension of rapid growth which happens every spring. Mia improvised her vocal parts in the studio embodying energy waiting to burst out after a long winter. Mia sings in Taiwanese at the end of the piece with lyrics describing the blooming flowers of spring.

AMS would like to thank the members of ETHEL from the bottom of our hearts for the amazing creative energy they poured into his project. Thanks to Kip Jones and Corin Lee for amazing performances and orchestrating the music videos with so much care. Thanks to Dorothy Lawson for her mothering, meal buying and cookies for AMS percussionist, Joey Chen. While we are at it, thanks to Joey for his amazing and stable global percussion throughout this album.
