AMS was performing in Mexico some years ago. It was a very dry place in the middle of summer. During an outdoor concert they performed Water of Life. There was a light sprinkle of rain that happened only during this song, it began after the song started and finished before it ended. After the concert an older, gruff looking man with black hair and beard came over to Mia. He looked a bit intimidating. He said "do you know what you did!" Mia was a little taken aback and said she didn't know. The man said "you made God cry!"

This was the most dramatic, but not the only time it began to rain specifically in this song. Rain was predicted for the outdoor show at the Québec City Festival but it held off until the dramatic section of the song and let loose with a torrent that sent everyone in the audience running for cover. By the end of the song the sun came out. AMS has had similar instances in Taiwan. We don't mean to arrogantly imply that we have control over the elements, but sometimes it's been our experience that these synchronicity's do happen.

*Carlos Castaneda was a Peruvian-born writer who published a series of books that describe a training in shamanism that he received under the tutelage of a Yaqui "Man of Knowledge" named don Juan Matus. Castaneda viewed synchronicities as affirmations that we are doing what we need to be doing at the right time and place. This can be especially valuable when you're taking on something very challenging.

Water of Life is the oldest, most consistently performed songs in the AMS repertoire. It has come to symbolize the personal journeys of Scott and Mia and their wife/husband relationship. The final duet in the song seems to capture the bond between them and their commitment to a life of creating in spirit.
